Dating After Dark Detroit is a 21+ dating and social-connection service for honest dating, conversation, and consensual casual connections. It is not an adult-content, escort, paid-companionship, or sexual-services marketplace. Use your own identity and current photos. Be clear about your intentions and respect every person’s boundaries.

Not allowed

• Prostitution, escorts, paid dates, sugar arrangements, sexual services, pornography, explicit sexual content, or solicitation of any kind.
• Harassment, threats, stalking, bullying, hate speech, or unwanted sexual pressure.
• Impersonation, catfishing, scams, requests for money, spam, or misleading profiles.
• Sharing someone’s private information or images without permission.
• Content involving minors, exploitation, trafficking, illegal activity, or non-consensual sexual content.
• Using private links, messages, photos, or videos to bypass these rules.
• Returning through another account after a suspension or removal.

Members can block and report from within the app. The owner can review reports, remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, and remove members when these rules are broken or action is needed to protect the community.

• Never send money, gift cards, banking details, or identity documents to someone you meet here.
• Keep early conversations in the app, meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
• A private photo is match-gated, not screenshot-proof. Only share what you are comfortable letting a match see.
• Use block and report for suspicious or unwanted behavior. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.

This app cannot verify every statement a member makes and is not an emergency or background-check service.

Information collected

Clerk provides a site-specific user ID, email address, and sometimes a display name for account sign-in. The app stores the profile details you submit, photos and media you upload, messages and lounge posts, likes, reactions, favorites, matches, reports, blocks, feedback, visibility choices, policy-acceptance time, and activity timestamps. If you turn on distance, the app stores a coarse location rounded to about two decimal places—not your precise GPS point.

Why it is used

This information is used to create your account, show your profile, suggest people, provide messaging and community features, remember your choices, respond to feedback, and support safety and moderation. Early Access does not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers.

Who can see it

Members can see the profile information and public media you choose to share. Private photos and videos unlock only after a mutual match. Your account email is not displayed to members. Reports and feedback are available to the site owner for moderation and support. Clerk provides authentication and Cloudflare provides hosting, database, and media-storage infrastructure. A payment processor will handle card information when Premium launches; the app will not store full card numbers.

Your choices and deletion

You can pause discovery, hide activity, remove location, delete individual uploads, block members, or permanently delete your account from Profile. Account deletion removes your profile and associated app records and uploaded media. Some transaction records may be retained when required for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal compliance.

Premium is not currently available for purchase during Early Access. Founding testers may receive selected Premium features without charge. Before paid subscriptions begin, the checkout screen will show the exact price, billing interval, included benefits, taxes if applicable, and that the subscription renews automatically until canceled.

Cancellation

Members will be able to cancel through the billing portal without contacting another member. Cancellation stops future renewals. Premium access will normally continue through the end of the already-paid billing period unless a refund is issued.

Refunds

When paid subscriptions launch, first-time subscribers may request a refund of their initial Premium payment within seven days of purchase. Duplicate or unauthorized charges will also be reviewed. Refunds are not offered for later renewal periods that have already begun except where required by law. Approved refunds return to the original payment method.

Failed payments and account deletion

If a renewal fails or a subscription ends, paid features may be locked while the free account remains available. Deleting a dating profile does not automatically cancel an active subscription; members must cancel through the billing portal before deleting their account.

Signed-in members can open Feedback inside the app to report a technical problem, suggest an idea, raise a safety concern, or request account help. Use the profile and message Report controls when the concern involves another member.

For immediate danger, call 911. Dating After Dark Detroit is not an emergency-response service.

• You confirm that you are at least 21 and legally able to use the service.
• You are responsible for your content, conversations, choices, and in-person meetings.
• You give the app permission to store, process, and display your submitted content only as needed to operate the features you use.
• You may not misuse the service, scrape member information, interfere with security, use another person’s account, or evade moderation.
• The owner may moderate, suspend, or end access to protect members, payment systems, or the service.
• This service does not sell dates, introductions to a guaranteed partner, adult content, or sexual services. A subscription only provides the digital features listed at checkout.
• During Early Access, features may change, pause, or stop, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

Creating an account or continuing to use the app means you agree to these rules and terms. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
